The Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology (WIHG), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, is a premier research organization devoted to the study of the geology and geodynamics of the Himalayas. WIHG is now inviting candidates to walk-in for interviews for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in two exciting sponsored research projects:

  • Project A: Focus on Ladakh Batholith Dykes, exploring mineral chemistry and isotope geochemistry
  • Project B: Centered on subsurface geological analysis using AI/ML techniques for seismic log data interpretation

  • Selection is purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with project tenure
  • Candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria; incomplete applications will be rejected
  • Project Tenure:
    • Project A: Up to 09 July 2028
    • Project B: Up to 23 June 2027
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview
  • Performance will be periodically reviewed; poor performance may lead to termination
  • WIHG reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification
