Candidates wishing to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) must follow the process strictly as outlined:

  1. Prepare a comprehensive Bio-Data with all academic and personal details, along with a recent passport-size photograph affixed to the top-right corner of the first page.
  2. Email your willingness to attend the walk-in interview, along with your Bio-Data, to the official ID: [email protected] on or before 5th July 2025. This is mandatory.
  3. No candidate will be permitted to appear for the interview unless they have emailed their Bio-Data before the deadline.
  4. On the day of the interview, 22nd July 2025, report at the venue by 09:00 AM sharp with the required documents.

Please carry the following when reporting for the interview:

  1. Original and one set of self-attested photocopies of all academic certificates and mark sheets.
  2. UGC-NET Qualification Certificate (if applicable).
  3. Proof of date of birth (such as a Birth Certificate or 10th Mark Sheet).
  4. Government-issued photo ID (Aadhar Card, Passport, etc.).
  5. Recent passport-size photo (as affixed on Bio-Data).
  6. If employed in a Govt/PSU/Autonomous Body, provide an NOC from the current employer.

The DESIDOC JRF Vacancy selection process is as follows:

  1. Applications will be accepted only until 09:30 AM on 22nd July 2025 at the venue.
  2. An optional written test may be conducted if the number of candidates is high.
  3. All documents will undergo initial screening and verification between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
  4. Post verification, shortlisted candidates will face the walk-in interview beginning at 11:00 AM.
  5. Final selection is based on academic qualifications, UGC-NET qualification, domain knowledge, and performance in the interview (and written test, if applicable).

  • Only those who have been awarded final/provisional certificates are eligible. No exceptions will be made.
  • The selected candidates may register for a part-time Ph.D. program in any recognized university during their fellowship tenure.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or for joining the position if selected.
  • The number of vacancies may change at the discretion of the organization without prior notice.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Fellowship cannot be claimed as a matter of right and is subject to the discretion of the Selection Committee.

Can I appear for the interview if I only send the Bio-Data without UGC-NET details?

No, UGC-NET qualification is mandatory for eligibility.

Will the interview be held online?

No, this is strictly an offline walk-in interview to be held in Delhi.

Can candidates from other states apply?
