The National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS), functioning under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, has issued a Vacancy Circular inviting applications from retired government/PSU professionals for engagement as Consultants on a temporary and short-term contract basis.
The recruitment is for Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) and Junior Engineer (JE – Telecom) level consultant posts at NCCS, Bengaluru. Nature of Duties (High-Value Section for Discover)
Selected consultants may be assigned work related to one or more of the following critical telecom security functions:
- Development and evaluation of telecom network elements
- Testing of telecom equipment in public/private sector labs
- Network security testing and validation
- Evaluation of test results conducted by TSTLs
- Cybersecurity support for telecom and communication systems
- Administrative and technical advisory support at NCCS HQ
Period of Engagement
- Initial engagement: 6 months
- Extendable up to:
- Maximum 2 years (6-month increments), or
- Till the consultant attains 65 years of age,
whichever is earlier.
Remuneration (Consolidated Pay)
- Remuneration will be fixed as per DoT / Ministry of Finance guidelines
- Pay is calculated by deducting the basic pension from the last drawn pay
- No annual increment / DA / HRA during contract
- TA/DA admissible for official tours as per entitlement at retirement
