Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna PSU and one of the world’s largest transmission utilities, has announced a major recruitment drive through the POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test 2025. The notification (Advt. No. CC/03/2025) invites applications for 1543 vacancies of Field Engineers (Electrical, Civil) and Field Supervisors (Electrical, Civil, Electronics & Communication) on a fixed-term contractual basis. This recruitment is a golden opportunity for engineering graduates and diploma holders with relevant experience in transmission, distribution, and telecommunication sectors to work on prestigious national projects across India.
The contractual engagement will initially be for 24 months (2 years), extendable up to 5 years depending on project requirements. Selected candidates will receive attractive monthly pay, perks, allowances, medical benefits, insurance, and an annual CTC up to ₹8.9 lakh.

Selection Process: POWERGRID Recruitment 2025
The selection process consists of Written Test + Interview (for Field Engineers) and a Written Test only (for Field Supervisors):
- Written Test:
- Duration: 1 hour
- Technical Knowledge Test: 50 questions
- Aptitude Test: 25 questions (English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, GK/Current Affairs)
- No negative marking
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (UR/EWS), 30% (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)
- Interview (Field Engineers only):
- Shortlisted candidates based on a written test will be called for an interview
- Qualifying Marks: 40% (UR/EWS), 30% (Reserved)
- Final Merit:
- Field Engineers: Based on interview performance
- Field Supervisors: Based on written test marks only
- Document Verification & Medical Test before final engagement

- Experience must be full-time and post-qualification (internship/apprenticeship not counted).
